Nick Turner FBHS (Fellow of the British Horse Society) has a wealth of experience in many equestrian disciplines and specialises in eventing.In January 2013, Horse Sport Ireland announced the appointment of Nick as the new High Performance Manager for Eventing Ireland with the main objective of qualifying the Irish Eventing Team for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Nick’s other roles include being a founder member of the Coaching Development Team, BE Accredited coach and is a trainer RoR (Retraining of Racehorses). At the Convention, he’ll be delivering a demo at 1m and 1.2m with guinea pig riders over an indoor simulated cross country course to give you some great tips and advice on how you can improve your own or your clients skills.
Ben Hobday, the hugely popular event rider and social media personality who recently beat cancer, will be making an appearing at the Convention where he will deliver a motivational and inspirational speech – a brand new additional element to the National Convention agenda. With his abundant charisma, open communication and infectious personality, Ben has amassed a large following across the equestrian world. He will be joining us to share his stories and experiences as a successful event rider – it’s certain to be an entertaining and insightful addition to the Convention.
Stephen Clarke’s career has taken him all over the world to all major dressage competitions including World Cup Finals, European Championships, World Equestrian Games and Olympic games including the London 2012 Olympics where he acted at President of the Grand Jury. His most recent achievement is his unanimous election as FEI Dressage Judge General by the 5* Judges present at the annual FEI 5* Judges seminar held in Paris in January. Stephen will be delivering an insightful demo on flatwork for you to go away and try at home.

If you are not aware, the Classical Riding Club (CRC) was founded in 1995 by Sylvia Loch – World renowned Dressage Trainer, Author, Judge & Lecturer. In Sylvia’s own words “the CRC aims to promote a method of riding which is both correct and humane, enabling Horse and Rider to forge a partnership based on love and respect whatever they do together. So far the CRC has changed the lives of many people, helping them on their personal journeys to achieve ambitions, to further their understanding of equitation, and also the treatment and ethical training of their animals.

Aged 22 still ride able gently owner has not been able to ride for last 6 months due to progressive ill health. Pony is 14.2hh and was ridden by slight adult.
